The Almighty Gaylords
I love this information page on The Almighty Gaylords, one of Chicago’s most famous street gangs. Firstly– I have always been pretty obsessed with street gangs, secondly, the page is done in that awesome late-90s-early 2000s-Geocities style. The only annoying thing is that pulling images is a pain because of the heavy use of shockwave.. In any case, have a look– at least for the reference...

Buenos Aires - Shop
Discovered this amazing newly opened Art/Furniture shop nearby the San Telmo Market– I can’t remember the name (it may not have one yet), but it was full of gems…
Among them the first (and only) two issues of the magazine Kitsch– they were pretty expensive, but they are also pretty rare, so I already regret passing on them..
I’ve only been able to find a...

Buenos Aires I
Arriving in Buenos Aires in the late afternoon, day quickly turned to night and with it came the rain. Fortunately, delivery is commonplace, especially on a wet night– another favorable Argentinian standard is the perilla… almost as regular as pizza in NYC.

NYC > PDX
The reason for the occasion– Andrew’s wedding (pictured right, at his bachelor party– I flown in just in time to have a couple of drinks in before it finished)
Obligatory (@ Panaderia Santa Cruz– a spot I’ve visited pre-high school, and is still the best)
At Oneonta Falls (five stars on Yelp, ha)
Trecherous at points, in spite of being a relatively short...

Surf
Buying a surfboard was a bit of a declaration of seizing, and embracing a whole summer, and in many ways its one of the the best decisions I’ve made in years. The fact that there is a surf culture in NYC is a shock to many, but makes absolute sense to me… what better option for getting a little slice of nature, and exercise at the cost of a metrocard swipe. Next stop Far Rockaway.

Semi-normal day (through the new lens)
My new camera arrived– since spending around 24 hours with it, I’m beyond impressed.. even the $1k price jump on amazon, I still think its worth the heavy price tag.
Remarkable timing, I got a phone call from Wallsé inviting me out for a tasting.. not only had I been looking forward to trying them out, but what a perfect opportunity to act like a nerdy food blogger.
Slow...
