I finally had the privilege of seeing Light Asylum the other night, bringing a few months of anticipation to an end. They performed in an old DIY/Factory-type loft in Williamsburg, and the sound wasn’t particularly great– but it was such a minor issue given their hypnotic and yet oddly agressive (in a good way) performance.. what I’m trying to say is, I was totally blown away. It was definitely one of the best shows I’ve seen this year, and I’m certain that their popularity will skyrocket once they put a solid release out and get the hype machine (not referring to the blog aggregator) behind them.
