Hair and shoes say it all. Everything in between is forgivable as long as you keep it simple. Trying to talk with your clothes is passive-aggressive.

I liked this quote from Rick Owens, from Style.com. Firstly, I agree. Moreover, he speaks with a kind of paired down ellegance, his words confident and persuasive. Its funny to me that he seems far less pretentious and far more human compared to his consumer.

Owens’ apparel has always been in the back of my mind. While its not my thing, per say, its haute dark future gay vampire thing doesn’t match my buttoned down look, yet his work is always interesting and well informed. Additionally, he is always able to make the perfect cross over item, recently epitomized in his interpretation of the basketball hi-top (I also like the Chuck Taylor style, pictured).
