East vs West
A couple of awesome links for today– photo essays of skateboarding in Central Park in the 60’s, and four decades of skateboarding in San Francisco.
Hey look, I’m on this random poster for a party in Buenos Aires.
If you managed to escape cold European weather and headed south for a warm Christmas, and on top of it you happen to be in Buenos Aires and really fancy a crazy fun night out, do not miss PINK IS PUNK SHOW this coming Thursday at Isabel. xoxo F

Clash of the Titans via Screen Caps. As you’ve probably learned by previous movie related postings, I’m quite fond of taking screen shots of DVDs etc. So this is a rad blog for me.. and I always love to learn what my ole buddy Justin is up to.

5/11/2010 If you own a Mac product and you live anywhere even slightly close to Los Angeles you are LUCKY !!!!!. Why? Because Brian Cometa lives and works in LA.
Last Saturday my MacBook froze the big freeze. I tried rebooting with no luck. Clearly my hard drive was having trouble. Yes my beloved hard-drive, which has everything on it and was, not backed up anywhere else (I know I know).
I first wasted time by visiting the “genius bar” at the Grove Apple store. Yawn. Then I called everyone I knew and asked for a recommendation. I felt I received only vague obvious suggestions but did try calling a few names. By phone alone I understood I was wasting more time although one guy seemed confident and my friend who recommended him swore by him. After several hours at his place the issue was not even close to resolved and no data was recovered.
I returned home and looked online. Brian Cometa’s name appeared along with several others however his feedback seemed very positive and I had a hunch he was “The Guy”.
Brian recovered my data and replaced my broken drive. He did everything so carefully and I feel most others would have failed to get back my data unless I spent thousands on one of those clean room joints. His fee was modest and unlike the tech who failed the first time Brian does not charge a penny unless he is successful. USE BRIAN COMETA IF YOU NEED MAC HELP IN ANYWAY WHATSOEVER.

I happened upon a rather exciting find yesterday, both as a collector and on a certain personal level. Similar to my post on the Waffle Iron, this item emphasizes a major landmark for Nike’s history. However, whereas the waffle iron was more of a party favor– these are real mccoy vintage Nike waffles! Such a wild item to find in a non-descript Manhattan vintage clothing store ! These were produced in Japan in 1973, and are in the University of Oregon colorway. That’s all I’ll really say as I found an ad from the time they were produced– the rest of the details are listed there, followed by my images.
