The Almighty Gaylords

I love this information page on The Almighty Gaylords, one of Chicago’s most famous street gangs. Firstly– I have always been pretty obsessed with street gangs, secondly, the page is done in that awesome late-90s-early 2000s-Geocities style. The only annoying thing is that pulling images is a pain because of the heavy use of shockwave.. In any case, have a look– at least for the reference items: gang photos, graffiti, clothing, business cards!

Thanks Junya Watanabe, for this nice coat, and Adam Katz Sinding, for the detail photos.

Standard BDU Jacket– my standard this year (placed strategically alongside previous year’s favorites: Barbour, Letterman/Pendleton). Yours?

I hardly blinked when I saw these for sale online the other day, a pinnacle piece from his F/W 2009 collection, brand new Junya Watanabe ‘work-brogues.’ They weigh ten pounds each, and are hardly the comfort of red wings– but I’d be damned if they aren’t some of the finest pieces of footwear I’ve ever seen..

I love Diane’s post ‘riche biche’ on 90s fashion– specifically surrounding the glory days of Versace couture.

Now if only I could get her to post a little more…

Sneakers slowly back into the fold…

Check out my Red Wing Pecos customs. Customs because I had them taken in at the top– they flared like crazy. Added zipper because I would never be able to put them on again otherwise.

This photo of Kanye is from ‘09, and the photo of the girl is from a blog post in ‘08– but for the remainder of this year, jean jackets (these lighter colored, baggier ones in particular) are my number one general fashion trend.

My favorite of our first releases– the “Alligator” tee, now for sale at Gentlemen’s Bet.
